The Mental Health Support Project (MHSP) is a membership driven peer-support program peer support network and a resource and activity centre (The Link) that provides a safe and welcoming environment for people with mental health challenges.

They co-ordinate and facilitate recovery and healing in various ways, including:

  • Assist individuals in assessing their needs and creating a self directed recovery plan.
  • Provide time limited & theme focused peer support groups.
  • Support those who are isolated to connect to peers, supports and services.
  • Provide training, education and encouragement to people who are in recovery to maintain their goals.
  • Coordinate a wide range of social and recreational activities each week, year round.
  • Provide volunteer, training & employment opportunities to Link members.
  • Promote recovery, mental wellness and healthy living.
  • Actively work to demystify mental illness.
  • Provide public education about stigma & discrimination.
  • Maintain strong links with other community resources and mental health agencies.
