Nicolas Gilbert, a senior epidemiologist at The Public Health Agency of Canada, will be joining us to discuss the 2013 Childhood National Immunization Coverage Survey. The results and analysis of this survey measures immunization coverage in Canadian children and parents’ knowledge, attitudes and beliefs towards childhood vaccines. The expanded sample size of the 2013 survey has also allowed for the analysis of associations between parents' and children's socio-demographic characteristics and vaccine uptake.

Dr. Marina Salvadori will discuss immunization from the hospital and rehabilitation centre perspective with specific patient populations such as medically complex patients and children with disabilities. She will review some of the current vaccine recommendations for these patients and suggests strategies to improve their rates of immunization and thus improve their health and reduce the utilization of health care resources.

This webinar has been developed in partnership with Immunize Canada.
