4 4  **Dr. Michael Rieder** is a Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, Physiology, and Pharmacology and Medicine at Western University, and a CIHR_GSK Chair in Paediatric Clinical Pharmacology. He is a member of the Drug Therapy Committee of the CPS and has served as a consultant to many federal institutes and organizations. His reserach focuses on drug and food safety and optimal therapeutics in children. Dr. Rieder has published 4 books, 33 book chapters, and over 300 peer-reviewed articles, and has trained over 50 fellows and graduate students. His work has resulted in the creation of two new Canadian companies, Adept Diagnostics and Cellsees.
