Community in Action:  "Communities of practice can drive strategy, generate new lines of business, solve problems, promote the spread of best practices, develop people’s professional skills, and help companies recruit and retain talent."
Wenger E, Snyder W in Communities of Practice: The Organizational Frontier (Harvard Business Review)

Consistent with its mission and strategic priorities, CAPHC has established a new National Collaborative focused on the development, implementation and evaluation of paediatric practice guidelines aimed at improving and promoting quality of care, safety and efficiency across the continuum of care.

The goal of this new National Program to facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of paediatric quality improvement guidelines, is timely and intended to support all children’s hospitals and related organizations in Canada providing healthcare to our children and youth.

Working with a national steering committee of quality improvement leaders, researchers, practitioners and content experts a framework has been developed for  a national Community of Practice (COP) to support the development, implementation and evaluation of paediatric practice guidelines in areas identified as a national priority.
